Air-drying

Rose looked under the sink, finding a small, dark blue towel folded neatly underneath. She was just beginning to reach for it, when an idea slipped its way carefully into her head.

“I can just air-dry if I don’t put on any clothes...” Rose thought slyly to herself. She thought about what could happen, and how much she technically would prefer the towel over potentially being seen naked. Reluctantly, she decided to forego a towel completely, and took a deep breath as she exited the bathroom.

The house was just as silent as she'd left it when she started showering, so Rose concluded that nobody was home still. Still, just to ease her worries, she decided to proceed cautiously, and take a tour of the house in the nude. Each room that normally felt familiar, suddenly filled her with anxiety. She entered the kitchen, and imagined her mom cooking rice on the stove, and laughing as she caught sight of her daughter. In the next room, Rose saw herself falling asleep on the couch, and stumbling to her feet with a large pillow over her body as her parents clambered through the front door. She imagined herself getting caught upstairs, and finding all the doors locked. Each imagined scenario did nothing to ease her worries, but instead caused her to imagine more humiliating scenarios which could play out if she didn't get dressed.

After her tour of the house, Rose found herself back in the kitchen again. She calmed down a fair amount, after confirming the whole house was empty. Rose grinned to herself, as she picked up her phone. "See? There's no problem! Just wait for all the clothes to finish, and you're good." Rose spoke aloud to herself, as she began flipping through her feed.
