Mackenzie fills Ryan in on what happened

As the movie continued, Mackenzie internally tried to prepare herself for telling Ryan about what she'd just been through. She debated leaving out some of the more embarrassing parts, but what would be the use? There was video evidence! Even if Cynthia and Pauline kept their word about not posting the video of Mackenzie in the bathroom naked (which was supremely doubtful, given how that interaction had ended), there was still the debacle out in the mall proper. With a crowd of that size, the chances of no one filming the incident on their cell phone was exactly 0%.

Oh my god, the whole school's gonna see me naked... she thought, face blushing deeply. How am I ever gonna live this down? This really is the worst day of my life...

Before Mackenzie knew it, the credits were rolling and the lights came up. She gulped as people began standing up and slowly ambling out of the theater. Ryan's shirt covered her underwear and left her decent, but the pale skin of her thighs was completely uncovered and most people passing by shot her questioning glances. It was fairly apparent Mackenzie wasn't wearing any pants.

Ryan stood up to leave to but Mackenzie stopped him. "Can we wait a few more minutes?" she asked, "I'd rather wait til this place is as empty as possible before leaving."

"Sure, sure." he said, sitting back down, "So, uh, what exactly happened?"

Begrudgingly, Mackenzie began regaling Ryan with what had happened when she left for the bathroom. She told him about how she'd been cleaning her shorts and accidentally dropped her shirt in the toilet. She told him how Cynthia and Pauline had appeared and offered to help her, but instead threw her out into the mall completely naked. And she told him how they'd brawled, eventually drawing a crowd, before Mackenzie had escaped, leaving the two girls for mall security.

"Whoa..." he muttered when she'd finished. "Mackenzie, I'm so sorry! That all sounds like a literal nightmare." He leaned over and gave the redhead a tender hug.

Mackenzie gladly accepted the comforting gesture, particularly enjoying the way the boy felt enveloping her. "Thanks..." she muttered. "So now I kind of just want to go home."

"You got it!" Ryan said, standing up. "Let's get you outta this damn mall."

Mackenzie rose too and actually managed a smile. Despite the horrendous humiliations she'd endured tonight, she was finding she really did like Ryan.

The two left the theater and headed for the exits, until they passed by the bathrooms.

"Shit." Ryan muttered before turning to face his date. "I know you wanna get the hell out of here, but I've really gotta use the bathroom. Super fast I swear."

Mackenzie gulped but said, "Okay."

"Sixty seconds." Ryan said before rushing into the men's room.

Sixty seconds... Mackenzie thought to herself, nervously standing in the hall. What's the worst that could happen in just sixty seconds?
