Jane Harker was still congratulating herself for her safe arrival in Transylvania after what seemed like an endless journey by train when she was met by a mysterious coachman.
"Are you the foreigner who wishes to go to Castle Dracula?" asked the coachman.
"Well, actually I'm not a foreigner," said Jane. "I'm English. But yes, I do wish to go to Castle Dracula. Can you take me there?"
The coachman just smiled and said, "All things are possible if you ask the right person."
"Good," said Jane. "Can you pack up my luggage?"
"Sorry, that's not possible," said the coachman.
"But you just said --"
"Maybe on the next coach," said the coachman. "Not now. In any event, my master awaits your arrival so we'd best be going."
"But my luggage --"
"Will be taken care of," said the coachman. "In one way or another. Renfield!"
A short pale man who appeared to be chewing on something appeared at the coachman's side.
"Yes, Charon," said the short man.
"Take this woman's luggage and make sure that it goes to its intended location, Renfield," said Charon the coachman. "The Master would be very upset if this woman's clothing ended up in the wrong place."
"Of course, Charon," said Renfield.
At that point, Renfield spit out something and smiled. "Flies," he said with a weak grin. "My only weakness."
Jane could not help feeling uneasy about something but what it was, she did not know. She tried not to think about it and instead concentrated on entering the coach.
Yet once the coach took off, she looked off into the nearby woods and saw what looked like a bit of white skin. Almost as if some naked person was running through the woods.
Surely I must be seeing things, Jane thought. Who would possibly want to go naked in this weather?
Then she looked up and saw a sign perched just above her seat.
It said: "The dead travel fast but the nude... travel faster..."
