Well if it ain't broke...
She Writes Back
Dear Robin, I... no no no, this isn't a note it's a letter. What's up Robin! No... too awkward an impression. Finding herself frustrated in coming to a self agreement in the selection of words, she suddenly began mocking her mother's words to her.
"Sometimes it's best to drop your guard for a bit and be kind to a stranger. Pfft, what a bunch of malarkey."
Her mother seemed to have all the answers then, now what happened? Viola sighed, thinking twice before pointing fingers and shifting the blame, no not like last time. 'Mom means well, I know that I'm just being stupid.'
Just write back, where is the harm in that? So what if you don't use the best words, so what if your writing is no Shakespeare? It's just passing a note back, that is all. He wants to check in with Lauren just in case, okay then. I'll just... no, I don't know.
She closed her eyes and laid back in bed, breathing in and out so as to restore her breathing back to normal. The night was quiet aside from passing cars nearby. The city life, full of opportunities and future friends. Of all the neighbors she was stuck with, it was him. Of all the people she walked in on, it was him. And now, of all the people in the world to be flirting back with her, it was him.
It brought a slight smile to her face.
Grasping the pen, she got down to writing. However once she finished, she checked her phone to note the time. Half hour past nine, damn. Writing took a lot longer then it felt. She paused and took a breather, reaching for her bottled water and drinking a big gulp. Refreshing. Look at me, passing notes to my neighbor as if we were kids in high school, like his are. In fact, she was barely a few years older then them, and he found her beautiful?
He did enjoy the show after all, she giggled to herself. 'Nice to know I can still knock heads with my figure.' She raised her robe and posed, admiring her naked lower half from behind. 'Yup, definitely still a killer looking ass. Got to keep in shape even if just for myself after all.'
Now, about that note...
She placed it down atop her dresser. It can wait, right now she would rather go to her Xbox One and sneak in a few games before eleven. Yea, a few games were the best ways to keep her mind off things. Shutting her window carefully, she hoped not to make much noise so as to wake him.
Hmm, tomorrow he won't be there in bed but at Lauren's, so unless she post the note on his window now she might not recieve a response. Fine, she figured, she didn't want to seem so eager but unfortunately that won't be the case. All for the attention of a man twice her age, good grief.
Fine, she thought why not and went ahead, sticking the note onto his window once more. Let him read it in the morning, see how he takes it.
"Hopefully I used the right words." She hesitated, taking another drink before turning on her game console. The note, now stuck to Robin's window stood there with an added message reading as follows:
If you enjoyed the show the first one is free, next one will cost you to reciprocate. Will you be telling Lauren about what happened? Either way I hope she gives you a great time at her place, you certainly did when she came to yours.
'What is wrong with me?'
