Blood and spasms

Looking at Nicki, Rick wasn't sure he would have gone through bio-DNA himself if he'd actually seen it in process. The poor girl spasmed on the bed, screaming her throat out. Blood seeped from every pore, getting in her hair, her eyes, choking down her throat, and her muscles seemed to be resculpting themselves in real time. Already, as he watched, some of the baby-fat in her face receded, leaving adult-looking cheekbones while her waist thinned and her leg muscles grew more defined.

Her continued screaming had him feeling guilty for looking at her like a lab experiment rather than as a sensitive young woman.

Instinctively he brought up the phone to dial down the transformation.

Nicki shouted, "No way. I need this over with, not dragged out."

Well, having been through a bio-DNA transformation himself, he could certainly understand not wanting to extend the process.

Which didn't make it any more comfortable watching Nicki writhe on the bed, overwhelmed with pain.

Also not making it comfortable was Tiffany crashing into the room wearing only her bikini bottom, a huge-looking semi-automatic in her hands.

"What the fuck?" she screamed. "Freeze, asshole."

He held up his hands. "It's the bio-DNA. Transformation isn't comfortable."

Tiffany kept her weapon pointed at him. "That right, honey?"

"He came after me with a razor. Said he was going to turn me into his slut. Oh, I hurt."

What the fuck?

"All right, asshole." Tiffany's finger tightened on the trigger. "Get the fuck out of my--"

"Psych," Nicki giggled. "No, seriously. He was just doing the bio-DNA app like we planned."

"Do not scare me like that." Tiffany lowered her weapon although she looked, to Rick, a little reluctant in doing so. "I could have shot him."

"The look on your face." Nicki's giggles had turned to outright laughter. "I completely thought you were going to implode."

"Why don't you take a shower to get that blood off you then sleep for a few hours to let the transformation finish," he said.

"I don't think I have the strength. Will you shower me?"

"After what you just put me through?"

"Please."
