Chapter 7 by jaed jaed

How does she respond to the news ?

She panics and continues to check her social media.

( Chapter originally made by Nahdude in www.writing.com )

Jenny started to panic. She made that post as a joke! It then occurred to Jenny that she doesn't have to go through with it at all. There's no way she can just donate all her clothes and go naked everywhere! It's not like anyone's actually expecting this, right? Even if she told everyone for weeks that she was being serious? So Jenny made up her mind; she would laugh off the bet as a joke, and hopefully only a few people would be left disappointed.

But then Jenny read more of the posts she was tagged in.

"Like this post if you hope that Jenny will go through with it!", posted by some girl that Jenny only kinda knows. There were hundreds of likes on the post. Jenny started getting the impression that maybe people are expecting her to stay true to her word. Jenny continued reading.

"Guys, do you REALLY think Jenny will actually go naked because of an election? Get real.", posted by Kim, a girl who Jenny used to be good friends with but stopped hanging out due to her cynicism and tendency to make smart-ass remarks about everything. Jenny was relieved that at least someone had some sense around here, though she wasn't surprised that it was Kim. However, Kim's post generated quite a bit of discussion, with Jenny 's classmates debating in the comments section whether Jenny would welsh or not. This debate was rather one sided, with a few commenters siding with Kim's opinion but the majority at least considering the possibility that she would indeed give up clothing.

Jenny rolled her eyes at first and continued scrolling, but several of her friends' and classmates' comments caught her eye.

"If it were anyone else I'd agree with you Kim, but this is Jenny we're talking about. She's always been super honest and I just can't see her going back on her word like that. It just isn't her character." posted by another female acquaintance, who clearly held Jenny in high esteem.

" Jenny said she would, and I believe her. She's also been saying in school that she was being serious when she posted that. She's not one to welsh, and especially not one to lie." posted by a male classmate who Jenny knew to have a crush on her, though Jenny didn't feel the same way.

What is she going to do now?
