An explosion has gone off next to a warehouse

That's definitely one way to get through a wall. The hole in the wall is large enough for a small van to pass through it. So far no one seems to have shown up. If there is any time to investigate it would probably be now, before the cops arrive.

You enter the building through the hole. Inside there are rows of boxes, stacked almost to the ceiling. You hear some commotion towards the opposite side of the hole. As you walk closer you can start to hear people talking. You slow down, if they blew up a wall, they probably would try to blow you up as well. You inch closer and can start making out words. You can make sense of a few words: boss, hurry and eye. You try to fill in the blanks. "There is a boss, which means this was organized. They don't have much time, probably because of the cops, and me. And they probably have someone keeping a lookout."

If you move closer, you might be able to hear them better, although it puts you at risk of being found out. If you charge in, you might be able to beat them in a fight, but you don't know if they have hostages or what kind of weapons they have. Of course you could also wait for something to happen.
