Chapter 9 by alphakennyone alphakennyone

What does the girl have that is so scary?

A dartgun that looks like a rifle.

Alex thinks he is about to die, and like in a video game, he tries to avoid fire by flipping the desk over and hiding behind in. Unfortunately most of his body isn't cover by the top of the desk and with a well placed shot, the Asian girl gets him cleanly by hitting him on his exposed neck.

The shot knocks him out cold, but it was a quicker effect than going for the arm or the buttocks. Actually, in training the girls are taught to shoot the dart anywhere but place where it would hit major blood vessels and/or organs, which could leave quicker stronger effect or no effect at all. A shot at any limb would be fine. A shot at the heart would prove fatal due to internal bleeding. A shot to the head is self-explanatory. A shot to the spine could leave a target immobilized permanently or partially. A shot to the neck, whereas it would hit the throat, which proves fatal, or the aorta, which proves quicker and stronger effects.

Since the shot was risky but controlled, Alex doesn't die from him predicament. He just lies in a bed for a timeline of 2-3 weeks, depending of the dosage of the shot. A target who is shot and is out cold for a day gets to see his punishment in the arts of the organization who-must-not-be-mentioned. A target in a three-week coma, won't see his punishment but will possibly freak out by the change done, which could lead to long-term trauma, hallucinations, or just mild side effects.

In the next day, where a target would be awake, Alex just lies on a table in a certain room. He wouldn't know what would happen to him on this day and every other day that he is asleep until he wakes up.

What kind of room is Alex in? Or do you want to fast forward to the time Alex wakes up.
