The Dark Wizard on the Loose!

"That may be." You say darkly, "But does Harry know how he did it the first time?"

Ron swallows and fumbles for something to say. "well you see-"

"No, its ok" you say raising your hand. "I spoke too quickly. I'm sorry I am sure you guys can think of something, just... I dunno keep me informed?"

You stand up and walk back to the Ravenclaw table. You expression is troubled and Jennifer asks you if you are alright.

"I'm fine, but Harry's friends seem to think that he is some kind of Dark Wizard Exterminator." You grumble. "They all forget," you wave towards the school body. "He was just a baby, he didn't do anything to stop the Dark Lord." The table around you hisses reflexively. "You-Know-Who," you amend "Did not die to the counter-curse of a 3 month old." You see a few people stare at you from down the table.

Jennifer grabs your arm and pulls you off down the corridor. She gets you away from the hustle and bustle of the Great Hall.

"Are you trying to get yourself in trouble?!" she whispers. "People already look at you like you are You-Know-Who's kid! Sitting around bashing the Boy Who Lived is not a good look Marvolo!"

Jennifer stares at you, properly angry at you. Her face is red and her face is marred by a fierce scowl. You don't really know what to say, you don't want to back down, and when it comes to the Potter boy you do get angry.

"Fine!" You bluster. "But you still have to admit that there is a big difference between surviving the Dark Lord and slaying the Dark Lord!"

"Maybe, maybe not!" returns Jennifer. "Perhaps you're right, and Harry isn't capable of stopping the people after the stone, but what makes you any more likely to protect it?!?"

You stop.

"What? Why do you think I want to-"

"Because its written all over your face Marvolo!" Jennifer exclaims. "You have something to prove, I don't know if its to yourself or to us, but you want to prove that you are better than Harry. You walk around school like you are better than everyone but then you spend all your time being jealous of Harry."

"I am not jealou-"

"Bull!" She snaps, and storms off.

You find yourself standing alone in the entrance hall of Hogwarts as Jennifer stomps out to the Quidditch yard. Giffard Abbot's portrait is pointedly playing with his dog rather than meeting your gaze.
