Emma waited until she walked up the porch steps, knocked on the door, and looked back. Suzy was terrified. Emma gave her a reassuring smile, rubbed her fingers and thumb together in the "money" motion, and watched as the door opened. Suzy glanced back one more time, and disappeared inside.
