Bruce stood on the roof of the house and looked down at the battlefield on the street. What had made Dracula so angry was death. Harley, Ivy and three other werewolves had accompanied him as they returned to the city. The next full moon was in 4 days and Bruce simply felt that this full moon would bring the final confrontation. And looking at it down there, Bruce wasn't sure how to stop him.
"Pamela. You had visions of our beginnings, didn't you?" he asked and looked at the she-wolf at his side nodding gently at him. "At that time there was an army of werewolves that was significantly larger than we now have. And yet Dracula defeated them all. That means we won't be able to beat him with pure mass."
"And then what do we then?" asked one of the others.
"We will fight more cleverly. Not harder. I've fought enemies before that were much stronger than me. And I mostly won." He said calmly. Even though he was now in his wolf shape he sounded more like Batman with a deep voice.
"What kind of opponent could be compared with that" asked the young wolf again.
"Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and the like."
Everyone except Ivy and Harley laughed when they heard it. But when the three alphas looked strictly to the smaller wolves, the laughter died and Harley clenched his fists.
"What are you laughing at? Mister B. here kicked Superman's ass more than once." She growled angrily and made sure that the others were quiet.
"How can a simple man defeat Superman?" one asked calmly and Bruce smiled calmly which seemed strange with the huge set of teeth.
"I am BATMAN!
The tone of voice was enough to make the wolves growl with excitement. But Bruce didn't leave them any time for it and ran away. His pack followed him without asking where they were going. Bruce, on the other hand, had an exact goal. Now that the Wayne Tower was destroyed and the Bat Cave was in ruins, there was only one place left for him to find what he needed. He finally stopped at an old factory of his company on the outskirts of town. It was a factory where metals had been made 40 years ago. However, it had officially been shut down for many years. But that was only the official part of this building. He could recognize by the looks of the others that they let themselves be deceived by the optics. In a good mood he went to the main gate of the old factory and used a hidden console to open the gates. Even Ivy and Harley stared into the room in disbelief as the gates opened. The cave below the villa had already been impressive but this was a completely different league. Unbelievingly the 5 werewolves entered the gigantic construction hall. The hall inside the factory could not be compared in the least with the hall from the outside. While they left from the outside, rusty and worthless it was in the inside on the newest state of the art. Fully automatic construction robots and assembly lines could be seen everywhere.
"What is this place my dearest?" Ivy asked curiously as she went to one of the side halls and looked inside. Inside she saw 4 brand new Bat-Cars in different configurations. While one looked relatively sleek and fast, the other three were much more massive and bulky. One of the three was equipped with an arsenal of heavy weapons. An impressive arsenal.
"This is the place where all my toys were built." Bruce said quietly. He had hoped that Lucius would be here but the company was abandoned. Strangely enough all machines were running at full speed and produced a completely new configuration of weapons.
Harley jumped curiously from one assembly line to the other and put her nose in everywhere during the rest of the wolves also curiously wandered through the huge hall to see everything. This place was a miracle of technical possibilities. In the cupboards they saw over 4 dozen Batman suits. One passage further were hundreds of violas and capsules which were probably for his belts.
"That's enough for an army" said one and Bruce nodded.
"And that's exactly what we need. I want as much as possible in the vehicles. Put the rest in the container over there! We need weapons, explosives and everything that looks like blades. If you find silver, I want that too. You two. You're looking for a device called X-210-A-41. Tear it out of the wall if necessary. But it MUST be in the container."
"What is this device?" one of the two asked curiously.
"The machine can bring any known material into any shape. With it we can make enough ammunition for the weapons. And now let's go!
" Darling. You do realize that modern weapons won't help much against Dracula," Ivy asked worriedly.
"Who's talking about us using modern weapons?" Bruce said seriously and started looking for very specific equipment. He had a plan to stop Dracula. At least he hoped so. But before he could begin to search, several projectiles struck to the right and left of him. Hastily he turned around and pulled up a brown one. He had already seen a lot in his life but the sight of a Werewölf carrying a Gattling Gun in every hand was something new for him. However, these weapons were different from modern versions. The caliber was much bigger and the magazine straps were unusually bulky. He bent down and looked at the bullets that were splintered on the wall. Surprised he lifted a wooden peg which smelled strange. Watery.
"What is the Harley? he asked curiously and the she-wolf jumped around and hit the weapons against each other.
"I keep them! They lay on the table over there and had a note on it. Vampire Hunter Mark 3," she grinned. "May I keep them boss?"
"Yes! Wrap her up. Apparently he gave me one last present. And definitely pack enough ammunition for these weapons. They are specially made against vampires!"
"Ivy. Go to hall 2. I want you to put the bat wings on autopilot and have them follow me. And I want every one of them. Ivy. When you're done with that, I need your help. But in human form. We both fly the heavy bat."
"Harley curiously asked "The what? and scratched his muzzle with one of the barrels of the gun. She watched as one of the walls opened, revealing a super-heavy version of the bat wing. Under each wing there were several hangers for rocket launchers, heavy machine guns and cluster bombs. It could also accommodate several of the containers and seemed to be a vertical take-off aircraft.
"UIIIIIIIIIIIIIII" she shouted with shining eyes. "I want that" she screamed as she dropped her weapons and ran towards the plane.
