A lovely 40-something at the bar

I noticed a lovely 40-something brunette at the bar. She was drinking whiskey and had obviously been crying. She was dressed in a pretty yellow evening dress so I suspected that she had been stood up on a date and was drowning her sorrows. I thought to myself, who in their right mind would stand up a doll like her. I walked over and sat down beside her at the bar and ordered two more of whatever she was having and then activated the thought amplifier unit in my pocket. She smiled and thanked me for the drink awkwardly saying, "Do you come here often?" From up close you could see that she was actually very pretty and pretty drunk.
