After eating, she went with the other models to get hair and make-up done, and you weren't allowed inside, so you just got a nap on one of the comfortable couches of the entrance hall.
When she came back, she was talking and laughing with Martha Hunt: that Martha, the one who was drunk the night before, and you completely forgot to tell her about. Now your girlfriend had her long hair straight, and the face makeup was kind of natural looking, beside a bit of mascara.
The younger blonde woman was dressed in the same way too, but her hair were more wavy, her boots, also black, were ankle level only, and she had a necklace with the letters of her name on it.
Adriana asks "Hi love, we are ready to go. You already know Martha here, right?"
The younger model should have said hi, probably embarrassed for being caught drunk yesterday. On the bus your girlfriend and her talked no stop, and while you were sat side by side with her, Adriana's main attention was the newly discovered friend (she told you they never had many opportunities to talk much before, being always busy with work while they were on the same VS projects, or simply because it never happened in the previous shows).
Not that she forgot about you, her hand was in mine all the time, and she noticed that you were feeling a bit car sick (the damn bus driver that day was drunker then Martha the night before for sure!).
Finally arriving at the Grand Palais, your stomach was grateful to leave that torture of a ride. The building was really, really huge! And beautiful too, but the freezing 7 am November air wasn't exactly the best environment to admire it from the outside, so you quickly went in.
A lot of police officers were there, shielding you from paparazzi and hardcore fans who were already there to see the models arrive. There were also canine units with their German Shepherds, and a bit further you spotted a gendarmerie nationale (sort of mixed military and police role French corp) van, with two operators in partial tactical gear wearing balaclavas and carrying one an HK UMP45 submachine gun and the other a G36C carabine, both with the stocks folded.
The handguns on the holsters were SIG too, like yours but of a different model, very likely the SP 2022, their standard issue. Well, at least the French were taking security very seriously, and being both a bodyguard and a paranoid it was a very good thing for your point of view.
