Chapter 11 by Ben Rosewood Ben Rosewood

To the wedding ceremony.

Yep, another wedding ceremony

Aaron spent what free time he had keeping tabs on work, a habit he couldn't shake. When it came time, he headed to the renovated Treasury building, where the wedding was to take place. That's where he found Daniel mulling around, further proving how inadequate he was for any sort of leadership role. Once Aaron entered the picture, he was able to get things in motion, and about an hour later, the hall was ready.

It was a rather understated affair, with minimal decorations. Then again, the French-colonial era building was more than beautiful enough on its own. Whilst it had been touched up a bit, it still maintained its old charm. Counting the seats, Daniel estimated about fifty or so people would be there. All in all, Aaron had a fair amount of respect for the more pragmatic arrangement, even if he wasn't all that interested in the actual wedding.

As guests started to arrive, Aaron scanned the crowd. Whilst he had some renewed optimism when it came to Melisssa, years in business had taught him to keep his options as open as possible. Plenty of Alexa's other friends and family were around, and plenty of them would be ripe for a one-night stand. If he was being honest, he couldn't wait for the ceremony to be over.

When 3 o'clock arrived, everything went through the motions. Alexa walked down the aisle wearing a typical white dress. The two exchanged vows about finding the 'one' out of 7 or so billion others. They say I do, without knowing what Alexa does on the side. They share a kiss, so on, so forth. Aaron had witnessed it a dozen times before.

Once it was finally over, everyone headed to the hotel, where Aaron would hope the real fun would begin.

How does our silver fox's hunt for another mate go?
