Yes, but first an ominous distraction.

When you are finished collecting your thoughts you glance back over to the unopened parcel sitting by the foot of your bed. However, something is different. When you left the present had been wrapped, and there had been ribbon, but it was otherwise unadorned. Now there was a small envelope on top of the package. In the dim light of the dormroom you can't quite make out the lettering on the front of the letter.

"Lumos" you whisper, as you move towards the letter. "Marvolo Gaunt" it read in tidy scrawl. The lettering seemed oddly intimidating in the flickering light of your wand. As your hand touches the envelope, the letter jitters and shakes open.

I hope you have enjoyed your first Christmas at Hogwarts. However, the money you have been using is not yours. If you continue to use these funds, then we shall have a more personal discussion, and we shall recoup on our losses.

Your Cousin sends his regards."

"This has got to be a prank." You think to yourself. "One of the older kids is having a laugh at my expense." You go to throw the letter into the fire, but as you hold it to the flame a symbol appears.

The Symbol was of a skull with a snake slithering through it. The Mark of ****. No student would use this at least not one who would know about the vault. Trembling you throw the letter into the fire- glad to be rid of it.

You think back to your conversation with Jennifer, who could have left this note for you? They had sent a clear message, they could get to you whenever they wanted. What's more- they had the ability to monitor to you.

You collapse into your chair. Your mind is racing, your heart is pounding. You remember your father cursing about "That Riddle Boy." How he blamed his sister for the deteriorating fortunes of the house, even though the family had been poor for ages.

Yet, when you had gone to the Gringotts Vault it had been filled to the brim with galleons. Your father was far from stable, but if he knew there was money in the vault he probably would have arranged for something to be done with the property.

That money... Could the **** Eaters have used that vault to hide their funds? Because no one would expect the Gaunt Vault to have funds in it. Especially since He Who Must Not Be Named was not considered part of the family, at least officially. Somehow he had to have gotten access to family's vault.

It didn't make sense, why threaten instead of moving the money, why warn you, but not kill you? The panic from earlier is slowly turning to curiosity. Could this be connected to the rest of the mystery? You had told Jennifer that it was something between teachers.
