Chapter 181

Good night at The Loft?
Just shy of a riot
After the rundown meeting between management, the soon to be owners of The Loft, I head out to coordinate my security staff on what to expect. I work the door for the first couple hours of the night as people file in, dressed to impress and with a really profound sense of enthusiasm for the night. Tight dresses showing ample, almost excessive amounts of skin and high heels on the women. The men dressed in button down shirts and with shoes, everyone is dressed within the requirements of The Loft's dress code and everyone looks great, of age and the energy in the place is electric.
The lights begin to pulse and the music begins to rattle through an increasingly filling dance floor by the time I get to leave the door and start doing my rounds through the place.
Walking through the crowd of of shaking and undulating bodies is part annoying and part exhilarating. There is the crowds, which are annoying. There are the gorgeous women shaking to the rhythm and moving to the beat as the bass shakes the floor.
Everything is going smoothly and it seems to be exactly as Jess called it, a relatively calm Friday night. It's crowded but calm as Jess and Dawn seem to be handling things nicely behind the bar. Also, exactly like it was called Dawn's white tank top is splashed with wet spots, making the already strained white fabric translucent and cling to her massive chest even more. Her cleavage popping out of the top of her top as she rattles a martini shaker for a customer. Jess is flying around, clearly handling the lion share of the orders but everything seems to be going smoothly.
I move through my rounds, checking out the corners and corridors of The Loft before returning back to the door to check on how my team is doing.
Aaron seems to be wandering from his post a bit more than normal but another hour passes with out incident before it is time for another round of security checks.
The next time I buzz by the bar I can see a crowd swarming Dawn's side of the bar and Jess coming over to help bail her out when she can. I'm not sure if Dawn is swamped because she doesn't have the command of the bar Jess has or if it is the fact that Dawn's perky asian teen breasts are popping out of her now see through top.
The crowd is growing larger and larger on Dawn's side of the bar and I can hear Jess bark out at one point. "Oi! Get your mate in line or I'll get my mates to throw you out."
I look over to Dawn and Jess. Jess gives me an "all clear" wave off while Dawn just enthusiastically waves so I went back to my post at the door.
It doesn't make it to my next hourly rounds before all hell breaks loose. Holly comes running up to me from the back office and saying I need to get to the bar, now.
I get there just in time to see Aaron yanking a bottle of vodka out of a bar patrons hands before slamming the guest's face into the bar in front of a startled Dawn as Jess shoves another guest away from the bar.
"You dont get to just steal and get away with it," Aaron yells as the DJ has stopped the music in response to the commotion. "Who the fuck do you think you are?"
From what I can gather as I try to pull Aaron off the guy is that he got sick of waiting for Dawn to get him his drink, so he reached over the bar and grabbed a bottle. Aaron was there and caught the whole thing.
While trying to stop defuse the situation I watch as one of the bottle thief's friends throws a cheap shot, a haymaker to the back of Aaron's head, forcing me to step in. The Puncher swings at me and I duck the first one before the second punch lands on my shoulder it stings but I’m lucky to be sober fight drunk people and land a hard punch into his stomach, putting him into a headlock when he doubles over. A third friend tries to jump on my back. I roll my shoulders and try to shake him off and he lands on his ass. I have a decision to make, my instinct is to start raining punches onto one of the three men who have attacked me. Hearing Jess's request to not expose the bar to anymore liability I opt to throttle back until the rest of the security team is there to help. We grab the drunken marauders, all by the collars of their shirts and drag them to the back door as roughly as we can while avoiding anything that would make the Loft liable.
We get the full **** of staff to get a hold of these three assholes and they arent going anywhere.
Chucking the three offenders against the dumpsters in the alley gets a rousing cheer from the crowd. When I step into the alley to encourage them to run off before the police are called they scatter and I watch them run off.
In the street, the bounced idiots walk past a parked black car. Inconspicuously across the street but with the lights on was a black car like the one Aor is noticing everywhere.
I’m fueled up on adrenaline and decide to go confront this potential problem head on. Before I can confront the car it drives off and all I can do is go back to my job and clean up the bar from after the scuffle. We sweep up the the broken glass and I go to comfort Dawn who seems visibly shaken by the whole idea.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I was doing the best I could." Dawn says
"You have nothing to apologize for." I try to assure the young bartender as she shivers in her absurdly too small shirt.
"These things happen," Jess says compassionately, "you just have to ask for help when it gets out of hands like that."
"Did they like the shirt though?" Dawn asks for some affirmation.
"They loved your shirt." I answer
"They loved your titties" Jess corrected me
