Expecting the obvious move from the white controller's side, the black controller’s mind was made up quite quickly with what the appropriate response should be. It felt only obvious to meet the white pawn with its own, to prevent the other side from gaining anymore precious ground.
"King's pawn e7 to e5" black controller's voice boomed.
Upon hearing the command the black pawn leaped into action. Racing across the squares he would just stop short of her. While they stood facing off each right now, he knew it was unlikely he would ever get her hands on her.
Although he could not reach her, the black pawn was more than happy to just taunt her at the moment and threaten her with what could only be her inevitable fate. None of this seemed to visibly phase her though, she looked quite determined and steadfast to win the day.
