Chapter 4
by Jeriah
What is the right first impression?
Direct approach
At first glance, you would say that she doesn't like people who think too much of themself, believing she'd be their possession from the moment they lay eyes upon her. (The "hunk" approach, apparently.)
Still, she seem to find timidity quite boring. She hate it when someone try to praise her and flatter her with words. She get frustrated by those that only talk weather and gossip and just never get to the point. She get irritated if someone try to fondle her or pinch her behind on the first evening out...
There's just so much Sarah doesn't like, and you start wondering if there could possibly be anyone that would be "the One" for her.
Desperately browsing through the pages again, you suddenly see the words "...and I liked that, but..."!
Reading the whole entry, you finally think you got at least a little hint of what could save the evening for you! Remembering a few other entries seem to confirm your theory, and you quickly lock the book again and put both books back on the shelf.
Timing is perhaps the most important, and so is the first kiss. You'll have to know when to pause and when to leave, and when to just keep pushing.
Difficult, but not impossible. You're not the best of actors, but you do know how to play games and how to react to swiftly changing situations. She enjoy surprises more than anything, both to be surprised and to surprise others.
You try to compose yourself, hearing footsteps in the hallway, and act as normal as possible as Sarah steps in through the door with two glasses of water in her hands.
Surprise?
