On the way to the zoo

The two of you get inside the Carney's Camry, where Adela turns the engine on. The CD player soon comes to life, but Adela swiftly shuts it off.

"So I guess we're talking for the trip?"

"Trust me, it's for the best. I love my mom, her taste in music is ickhh."

"Guess I can't argue with that. So what do you like to listen to?"

"Uhh... I guess you could say emo. Like Panic! At the Disco and Paramore."

You smile, thinking of the kind of debate Mike would ignite over the definition of 'emo'. "Fair enough."

"That's what my big sis liked at the time, so I kinda latched onto it."

"Makes sense I guess."

"What about you?"

You proceed to talk about your favorite music which I can't decide for you as this is written in 2nd person. Plus this gave me a chance to break the fourth wall and I find that amusing.

"Cool." Adela says, giving an approving nod as if she understands your music taste. (I guess this sentence is kind of awkward if your favorite bands are P!ATD and Paramore huh?)

"So does your sister live in town?"

"Actually, she lives about half an hour away in Everton."

"So what does she do?"

"She's a primary school teacher."

"She enjoy it?"

"Yeah she loves working with kids."

"Well, can't say I agree with that."

"Yeah definitely."

The two of you share a laugh before you say "Well anyway, can't wait to meet her."

"One day."

That's when Adela enters the zoo carpark. Due to it being a weekend, she only manages to find a free spot at the back of the carpark. After a long walk, you arrive at the end of a fairly lengthy line-up. Eventually, you make it to the front of the queue, where you each pay for a ticket and finally enter the zoo.
