Stand beside your pack

You **** yourself out of bed, dressing yourself before walking over to give Axel one last kiss. He gives you a sad smile when you break apart. Both of you know the seriousness of the situation. There are so many things that can go wrong and the future is uncertain. But you two have to believe in the best possible outcome, because you know that there is no other one worth fighting for.

Axel escorts you from his room and past all of your old friends. You wave and smile at them, wishing them luck. There is a pit in the bottom of your stomach, screaming that not all of them are going to return. You want to take them and run as far as you can; you can't lose these people you just got back. You know this isn't feasible though. The Red Fang would hunt you down and kill anyone who refused to join them and your own pack wouldn't let you leave peacefully. You also know Axel's group is tired of running and they deserve a safe place to call home. They won't run away and neither shall you.

That's how you end up at the edge of the complex, standing tall amongst the other bottoms. Many are openly weeping as their husbands walk away to head off to war. You feel a few tears slip as Axel joins the others, but you remain strong. The pack follows your lead now and they will remain strong if you do. It doesn't make watching them leave any easier though...
