Is Zelda Correct? Does Her Act Work?

Zelda was wrong

As Zelda strutted down the side street of Gerudo Town, she barely noticed a woman on her left give her a double take, then shake her head with a smile. The sun was high and hot in the sky, and Zelda wore nothing but a slight, faked smile. Inside, she was screaming at being so exposed. She began to get closer and closer to the tavern, already noticing quite a few Gerudo women inside.

Zelda took a deep breath, and pushed herself forward. She walked slowly up to the counter, immediately getting the attention of the woman at the counter, and the six patrons around the room. Most were shocked for a long moment, only brought back to reality by Zelda’s question.

“Do you know where I can get something to wear? While I was inside the bath, someone stole my tunic, and other clothes.”

Shortly afterward, a round of laughter went around the tavern. Zelda went red in the face, instantly beginning to regret her decision. The bartender was first to speak, wiping a tear from her eye.

“So you say? You seem quite fine, if you’re willing to walk around the town like that.” Furosa said humorously.

“I...I thought nobody would care! That’s what I was told by the guards!

“Who told you that? Just because we have a public shower doesn’t mean we dance through the town in the nude. I’d suggest you get a move on though, I just saw two women leave, and news tends to spread around here fast.”

Zelda quickly turned and ran out of the tavern, hearing a wolf whistle and more laughter behind her. She covered herself with her arms, and looked left and right, unsure of where to go. Her mind was made up for her, when she heard someone shout “There, look!” In her general direction. She sprinted right out onto the main drag of the town in a panic, instantly gathering the attention of several shop owners and shoppers. Some ignored her, other laughed and pointed. Zelda quickly ran away, into the other side of the town. She dodged and weaved through Sand Seals in a pen, then turned onto another street.

Zelda soon realized just how bad things were, when she noticed she was running in circles, and that there didn’t appear to be a place to hide. Everywhere she went, people passed by her, giving a humored look downwards at her at first, then moving on. She thought her day was as bad as it could get.

Is Zelda’s Day Going To Get Better?
