“Emma, are you ok is there something you need us to do” Asked Jubilee Emma nodded her head she quickly ordered Kitty to get the Power Dampeners in Beast’s Laboratory with them they could shut down the Cuckoos powers for she sensed the box she placed their individual minds begin to weaken but it still held there was still time she said, she also ordered the rest to secure the Training Room as they scrambled to follow her orders Kitty ran through the doors the Cuckoos pleaded for Emma to resist whatever power the man had her under.

Down the hall, Beast had just left his office his papers in hand it took him 5 hours to gather the research on the Hellfire Club Scott needed, hopefully, it would be useful the organization is steep in secrecy it was hard just gathering this much information on them, almost knocking him down Kitty apologized before resuming her run down the wall he scratched his head what was she in a rush for whatever it was it must be important he’ll ask her later he shrugged before he resumed his walk.

Holding his hand to his mouth Beast gave out a long yawn while his belly rumbled he chuckled not only was he tired he was also hungry hopefully they still had some leftover chicken from yesterday his path led him through the training rooms, wiping his eyes he heard what sounded like screaming coming from the third training room he quickly dropped the papers and ran to the door Beast tried to open it using his passcode but the panel denied him access he grumbled out a curse before he typed in the override in a few seconds the door opened up.

“Emma, I heard screaming it sounded like the Cuckoos are everything all right… All my stars and garters Emma why are you naked…” He couldn’t believe his eyes kneeling front of the naked Emma were the cuckoos next to them was Laura and Jubilee, what in the world did he walk into? This definitely woke him up and speaking sweet went down her strained face she only got that way when she was concentrating her telepathy, the Cuckoos looked at him they had fear in their eyes something was definitely wrong here.

“Beast, quick you’ve to stop her someone has taken over her mind you have to stop her Emma has placed our minds in boxes we can’t use our powers, please Beast while she’s distracted fighting Jean get to her…” He nodded his head he tried to lunge forward but he was quickly blinded by Jubilee he yelled out a roar as his hands went up to his eyes, Laura quickly ran right past him and resealed the doors trapping him opening his eye Beast’s vision was still blurry he took a step forward and was met with more blasts from Jubilee, Laura unsheathed her claws and charged him the two locked in combat…

Running down the halls she had nearly bumped into Beast she can’t waste any more time she had to get those power dampeners and fats finally she thought to reach the doors to his lab she used her power and phased through the doors, the room was dark but her sudden movement turned on the motion lights at the back of the lab there was a locker that had them she quickly ran for it reaching the locker she placed her code in and the locker opened inside were over 30 of the things inside taking 3 with her she ran back to the training room.

Thrown across the room Laura quickly stood up her arm was broken in two places thankfully her healing factor kicked she was ready to fight again but she managed to get a few deep scratches on his back Jubilee was busy keeping him away from Emma, she nearly dodged a blow but she wasn’t lucky a second time he kicked her into the wall with her out of the way that left Emma alone he shook his head hopefully his vision cleared soon he didn’t want to hurt the Cuckoos they were still kneeling close to her.

“Jubilee, Laura please I need you to listen to reason, you are under someone’s control you have to fight it please I am your friend it pains me to do this please don’t make me hurt you…” Easy for him to say he could feel his blood run down his back he needed to stop Emma Phoebe mentioned she was dueling Jean that means Jean knew what was happening and Emma was prevented her from sounding the alarms, as his vision cleared he could see Laura running to him from the distance he readied himself as she came near…

*Kitty dear you better hurry up with those damn Dampeners and be warned we have company in the Training room, Beast is inside and he is fighting both Jubilee and Laura…”* She heard Emma say in her mind she needed to double-time it there she was already breathing heavily, almost here she thought just a few more seconds it was then she got an idea she would use the training room to distract beast and she knew the best program…

Back at the training room, Laura’s arms were being pinned to the ground by Beast blood dripped onto her face she tried to use her foot claws to scratch him but she was quickly thrown into Jubilee, finally, she was out of the way got to get to Emma he was about to move but the training room’s holograms soon activated 2 sentinel hands reached for him the first one missed the seconds grabbed his arm and with a tug he was now facing it he could tell his arm was popped out of its socket, it’s cameras focused on him before he was thrown into a wall in the wall the impact knocked him out a cage materialized around him the Sentinel vanished.

Phasing through the door Kitty held the Psy-Dampeners she then kneeled behind the Cuckoos and placed it on them she was gasping for breath she looked up and looked at the **** Beast it saddened her that she had to hurt her close friend and comrade, but she had **** her Master’s will came before hers and if she allowed him to knock Emma out it would give Jean enough time to warn the others and they would put a stop to her Master’s plan, but still it shouldn’t have gone this way no one had to get hurt they were so close to converting the Cuckoos they just got unlucky she sighed before sitting down she tried to regain control over her breathing she looked up at Emma she was struggling to keep Jean in check a trickle of blood ran down her nose, Kitty got up and went to Emma gently holding her steady she helped her down she gave the other a thumbs up to help reassure them that Emma had things under control she hoped she did…

Running down the halls the trio soon made it to Jean’s room Steven was gasping for breath but the others seemed fine the trio could hear her grunting in pain, a few of the students gave them questioning looks but it didn’t matter they needed to shut down jean and they got the mutant to hopefully do it the door was already unlocked entering her room Jean was barely standing her nose was bleeding, hearing the door opened she looked up and saw Rogue standing in front of her she was then joined by Ororo and that man followed close behind them her heart sank it didn’t take a telepath to realize they were his servant’s she saw him close the door locking it.

After locking the door Steven looked at Jean she was angry she lifted her hands her eyes looked like miniature suns but before she could use her power Storm had caused the winds to blow her into her bed, this threw her off her concentration Rogue quickly flew forward removing her gloves she touched Jean’s forehead and mouth Jean’s eyes opened in shock before she closed them she was knocked cold Rogue soon collapsed Storm walking to her helped her to the bed it was over he thought he could practically hear his pounding heartbeat in his chest.

“It’s over right? She’s knocked out cold?” He asked Ororo and Rogue nodded their heads. “That’s good news at very least but how long will it last? I just remembered you said once you touch someone you can absorb their power that means you have her telepathy, can’t you brainwash her?” They were unsure…

“I don't know Master, it depends how much I absorb but from what I can guess an hour or so? So Master I highly recommend you begin to convert her if you can, and while yes I do have her telepathy I am just not experienced with it like Emma or Jean I highly doubt I could brainwash her but I can monitor the area and make sure no one shows up uninvited…” Rogue said he agreed with her but he was rather disappointed with her answer but oh well, he walked up to Jean her breathing was calm and steady moving he wiped the blood on her nose with his sleeve, better he thought she was indeed drop-dead gorgeous just like Emma and the others the X–Men were lucky to have them as teammates, but soon they would be his…
