Connor and Diane versus Billy and Naomi

The four of them line up, ten water cups arranged on either side of the table, and a beer in each of their hands.

Connor and Billy start with an eye-for-eye, and Connor sinks his shot.

Billy hands Naomi a ball and says. “Go on, take a shot.”

She tries, but the ball goes far to the left of the table.

Billy takes his shot, sinking the front cup.

Connor shoots before Diane, but bounces off the rims of a couple cups. Diane then shoots, and lands the middle cup.

“On your knee.” Billy points at her as he hands Naomi her ball, and kneel she does.

Naomi misses another shot, but Billy makes another. “Heating up.”

This time Connor makes his shot, but from her knee Diane cannot make hers. Naomi takes a tiny sip from her beer, barely getting a drop.

Billy takes his shot next. “For fire!” He calls as the ball sinks into another cup. He then shoots again, but misses.

Then Naomi shoots, and misses yet again.

Another miss from Diane comes next, but Connor gives her a short pat on the head before making his own shot. “Heating up.”

As the game progresses and Billy goes through two whole beers, Connor and Diane catch up. The game is winding down, Billy and Naomi have one cup left on their side as Billy cracks open his third beer. Connor and Diane, though, still have two cups.

Billy misses his shot. “Damn..”

He gives a small shrug, and is barely paying attention as Naomi bounces a shot into one of their cups.

Connor runs his hand through his hair. “What the hell?”

He and Diane get ready to bring it to overtime, but surprisingly to the room neither of them make it, and so the win goes to Billy and Naomi.

“Woo hoo!” Billy cheers, grabbing Naomi around the waist and hoisting her in to the air. She blushes, her beer more than half full still.

Connor and Diane retreat to a couch as the next couple rises to challenge the winners.
