She has to tutor him

While Jade was listening to Mike taking some calming breaths she had come up with an idea on what excuse she could use. She hated that she would have to lie to him again especially about the deal that she made with Jason. But the possibility of Mike not getting bullied was a more appealing thought then anything at the moment. She knew that what she was about to tell Mike would set her on a path she couldn’t possibly come back from. When Jade heard Mike pick up his phone and told her that he was calm she knew that he was ready to hear what happened after he left.

So Jade started with her alternate story of what happened “After you left Jason was acting like his usual asshole self. It wasn’t really helping my mood because of how pissed I was due to him hurting you but I knew that what ever deal Jason was making was worth hearing. No matter how much of a ass he is.” She paused to calm herself down from getting angry and probably saying something she shouldn’t. “Once he stopped we finally got down to talking about his deal. For once in his life he admitted that he needed some help and at first I thought that he was joking but he wasn’t. He needed me to tutor him or else his coach will kick him off the team and he didn’t want that. So he asked me and I told him that I wanted something in return which was for you to not be bullied anymore. He agreed that so long as his grades were good enough then he’d stop.” Jade finished her abridged version of what happened. She really hopped that Mike believed the lie she just said.

After a few minutes Jade heard Mike speak “Sweetie do you really that Jason will stop bullying me?” He asked her with a bit of hope in his voice. Her heart broke a little when heard that because even though he put a front of the bullying not bothering him she knew that he was depressed.

Jade was felt a little bit better because she knew that Jason will keep his word so she spoke with some confidence “Yes baby he will stop bullying you I promise.” When she said that she heard Mike give a small sniff and he said a quick goodbye and hung up. When Mike would do stuff like this Jade would have a big smile because she happy when he would let his emotions but she could only gave a small one. Because she knew that she would be betraying him for who knows how long just to keep him happy. But for now she had to get through the day and just get back home.
