Keep kicking and struggling!

Skye isn't going to give up that easily. She pumps her legs ith all the strength her tiny body can muster. She extends her short legs as far as they'll go, but her boots can't find the bottom.

How far does this damn pit go!?

She sinks farther down and lets out a gasp as the cold murky sand wraps around her tits. She futilely lifts her arm in the air to reach for something, anything, but her hand finds nothing. Now the sand is wrapping around her neck and tickling her chin.

Scares and out of options, she starts to scream, "HE-GGGUGGGGHH...."

Her cries for help are muffled by the sudden flood of mud into her mouth. It's the most vile thing Skye's ever tasted. She tries to spit it out, but more keeps rushing in. Fear takes hold of her heart as she finally realizes that this is how she'll go out.

No no no, it can't end like this!

Tears stream down her face as she thinks of her broken promise to protect Kara.

This can't be it. I don't wanna die like this....

The sand is now pouring into her ears. Her lungs burn and her flailing growing weaker as the sand fills her every orifice. She takes one look at the jungle before closing her eyes. She feels the sand cover her eyelids and before long it's up to her forehead.

Then, as if the jungle itself is mocking her, she reaches the bottom. Once her boot touches the ground, she's re-invigorated with hope, which quickly vanishes once she fails to move her legs at all. Now completely caked in mud, Skye had become a permanent prisoner of the quicksand.

She's filled with rage and frustration as she recalls all the times in her life she's been made fun of for being short. If she were only an inch or two taller, she might have had a chance to leave this jungle alive.

But the quicksand has no intention of letting her go. It fills Subrina with sand and despair.

Oh my god... this is really it... I'm sorry Kara....

She gives in to the despair and accepts her fate. Though the sand is cool and refreshing, her lungs are on fire.

It's not fair.... is her final thought before she drifts away into unconsciousness.
