You are not this low

A short glance on Lea was enough to see that now she is scared. It is the first time when you see more fear than anger or defiance in her eyes. Is she afraid for herself? Is she afraid to leave Gwen without any protection?

"What will they do with her?" You ask Lilly turning your attention back to your friend.

"Who cares? They'll give us stuff. A lot of useful stuff" Callousness in Lilly's voice doesn't stop to amaze you. Is this the same woman you knew before? She was involved in several charity organization.

"I care!" You raise your voice in anger. You may be a **** but you very well remember the sadist you barely managed to kill. "I wouldn't ask otherwise, right? Who do you want to sell her?"

"Hey, hey, Alex, calm down" Lilly looks surprised as if it is not a reaction she would expect. "I have one contact in a mall. A former cop, who has a base there. He captures girls and than either uses them himself or sells them to the militia. He tried the same shit on me, but... well I managed to persuade him that it is better to have me as an ally" She smiles to you "he has full control over a large chunk of the mall. Many goods are still there. And look at her, I can bargain a lot."

"Who are this militia?"

"Bastards" Lea answer for Lilly "They serve some kind of a maniac nicknamed Colonel, who buys their loyalty by operating a brothel, where girls are **** dozens times per day before they lose," Lea swallows "a marketable condition. God knows what happen to them next."

"Yeah. Pretty much that" Lilly confirms "Look, as I said. Two slaves are too much. And she is your enemy, enemies must be eliminated. Let me trade her away."

"No!" You answer sternly "I won't put her to the fate that is worse than ****. Using her body is one thing, transferring her to someone, who sound like very bad people, is another."

"You are too soft... " Lilly shakes her head in disbelief" OK. We are partners. I'll agree with you this time. Hope you'll change your mind later. I have seen some food there, mind if I leave you with them and get a snack?"

"Yes. You do look like you would benefit from a full stomach." You are happy to end this conversation. Witnessing how this new world changes people is not the best experience in your life.

As soon as Lilly goes to another corner of the garage, you hear something unexpected — "thanks." This one short word is the last thing you would expect to hear from Lea.
