It takes only about three blocks to reach the Pyramid Club. It is a small venue in a part of town which is not exactly known for its night life, which you hope will make it a good introduction level establishment. Your logic has it that such a small place can't possibly be as crowded as most night clubs, so you should be a little more comfortable as a first-timer. Even if there's enough room to breathe, much less move through the crowd, it shouldn't be that far off from the usual thing. Right?

Of course, your expectations could be entirely wrong-- both on what you will encounter and what is considered "normal." This is your first time, after all.

As you approach the doors, you take a deep breath. Such a small location in such a low-traffic area doesn't have a line waiting to get in, even on a Friday. Your heart beating heavily with anticipation, you put out a hand, open the door, and cross the threshold.

To your relief, while there is a crowd-- especially on the dance floor,-- the Pyramid Club has plenty of room to breathe and move comfortably. The A/C must be running to counteract the heat generated by so many bodies, but the blaring techno/dance music covers up any sound it may make. You are honestly surprised you hadn't been able to hear it from the street-- hell, you'd have thought you could hear something this loud from your apartment with the windows closed.

Shaking your head, you look around, feeling a bit awkward at your uncertainty as you try to decide what to do first, the music echoing in your chest with your heartbeat.
