Tiptoe quietly down the hall, careful not to make a sound.

You move swiftly and silently, keeping to the shadows as you edge down the hall. You can hear the bass of the rap downstairs, and this helps to muffle any noise from your movement. As you pass Adriana's room, you can hear her voice and another inside. After a second of listening you determine it is your cousin Emily. You redouble your efforts to remain silent, not wanting any confrontation with those two gorgeous harpies.

Making it to the end of the hall, you stealthily open 6our bedroom door. Slipping quietly inside, you are able to close the door just as silently. You spend a few minutes inside, making sure that no one followed you and then resting in the solitude. You're finally sure that you haven't been detected, but a few weird noises keep intruding on your thoughts.

Through the floor below you, you can hear the hip hop music from your parent's room. But along with the sound of the music there is a kind of repetitive banging, along with a high pitched whine. There is also another faint noise, like someone slapping wet cloth against something, but to a different rythm to the other sound. The whole thing reminds you of some kind of unbalanced machine.

You can also hear banging and loud talking coming through the wall from your sister's room. It sounds like someone wrestling and arguing playfully, because the voices definitely aren't angry. But at the same time, the sounds sometimes grow so loud and violent that you think people might be fighting in there.

In both rooms you also could swear you heard unfamiliar voices. Deep, intimidating voices. But you convince yourself that it's just the music, or maybe your imagination.

You decide you can't stay here all night on your Birthday, so you resolve to investigate one of the sounds from the rest of the house.
