Capital Crimes

"Normally we don't kill," says Gina, "after all, dead men learn no lessons. The only time one dies is if he's a ****. If that happens, he dies, but that doesn't happen to often."

Well, that makes sense, but it doesn't explain why you're here and why you're meant to be sat on like this. Still, if you have to, you have to. You don't have much choice in the matter. You take a deep breath, resigned to your fate.

"I guess I have one last question," you say quietly, "what is it that I've done that I need to be punished for. I mean...I've always tried to be friendly and good to all of you...never wanted to cause any trouble...and..."

Gina looks surprised, and then comprehension dawns on her.

"You think you're here to be punished?" she says, "oh dear, yes I can see how you'd get that impression, no sweetheart."

Gina cups your chin so that you raise your eyes to hers.

"You're to lie down to be the seat of honor as...as a kind of initiation," Gina tells you, "don't worry, we'll be gentle with you. You're here just because you're such a sweetheart and always have been. We want to reward you...and to bring you into our little nest in a very special capacity, but think of the sitting as...almost a rebirthing, okay?"

You're still a little scared, but decide to trust Gina.

"Okay," you say, "I trust you."

And you lie down.
