Thinking quickly, you make a left before the guard can head you off at the intersection.

"Get back here!" the guard shouts.

You don't even look back. You keep sprinting down the corridor, where you see gyms, recreation rooms, sparring areas and a few locked storage closets. Nothing useful. Once you reach the end of the hallway, however, it splits into two paths. You're sure either of them could lead to the exit, but which way was it? You try to draw a mental map of the circular complex.

Behind you, you can hear two sets of footsteps closing in. If you don't choose now, Smotherella will be upon you, and then there will be no hope of escape whatsoever.
