It's just Gwen

When you hear the noises from outside, Lea removes the knife from your throat, and points to the corner of the room, indicating that you should stay put and absolutely not try to run. Terrified, and a little scarred, you huddle down into the corner, and make yourself as small as possible.

Lea positions herself against the wall, ready to ambush anyone who tries to break in. The doorknob twists, and the door slowly opens. Lea pounces.

A very startled Gwen gets tackled to the ground. Various cans she was carrying in her arms spray everywhere. Lea finds herself straddling her friend, with a knife just barely missing cutting Gwen's shoulder.

"What the actual fuck?!" Gwen shouts. Lea's eyes start watering, and she drop the knife. She drops down to give Gwen a crushing hug. "Okay, I do appreciate the affection right now, but you're crushing my lungs," She wheezed out. Lea didn't let up her grasp one bit.

"I was so worried. Don't ever scare me like that again!" Lea finally let go, and then helped Gwen to her feet, "Where did you go?" Gwen starts to pick up the cans she had grabbed earlier.

"I knew we were a little low on food, and we didn't pick any up yesterday before coming back, so I took it upon myself to go find some. Hope everyone likes alphabet spaghetti," She finished picking up the cans, and put them in a corner near other food items. She then started unpacking more cans from her bag. You weren't sure she had noticed you were in the room yet.

"Why?" The word escapes your lips before you have a chance to think. Gwen doesn't respond immediately, so Lea repeats your question. She undoubtedly has a different meaning behind her question, but you think the answer is probably the same.

"I needed to prove, to at least myself, that I'm worth something to this team. Thats why I left in the middle of the night, and came back," Her answer satisfies both you and Lea. Lea is probably just happy that her friend is safe for the moment, but your feelings are more conflicted about her return.
