What's next?
Skip ahead to Storm's End
After riding for over a fortnight, you finally reach your destination. As you rapidly approach the eastern shore, you spot the Baratheon stronghold of Storm's End in the distance.
It has been a long couple weeks. You have spent most of that time in the presence of Lady Catelyn, Lady Brienne, and King Renly. Since you have been in the eastern half of the Seven Kingdoms for the last year, you talk to them about how the war has impacted that half of the realm. So far, the Stormlands and the Crownlands are relatively untouched, whereas the Riverlands have suffered the worst damage.
You have also told King Renly about your idea of a possible working alliance between him and King Robb. What you did was propose to Renly that he allow Robb to retain his title of "King in the North" so long as he swore not to rebel against Renly's forces and to continue their trade and diplomatic relations with the rest of the Seven Kingdoms from before the war began. He could also acknowledge Renly as the true King of the realm, and the two kings could work together to resolve conflicts that occurred between their two nations.
While Renly was uncertain about this proposal at first, he took a week to think about it carefully. The day before you arrived at Storm's End, he told you that your proposal actually did have merit. As of now, he still has not agreed to allow Robb to remain the King in the North for good, but he and his advisors will think on a way to make such an arrangement work. You hope they reach some form of compromise. After all, if Renly's forces combined with Robb's, the war would likely end much sooner.
Anyway, once you arrive at Storm's End, Renly has his forces set up camp once again. You are given the same pavilion from before, much to your delight.
Lady Brienne and Lady Catelyn tend to spend just as much time with you as they did at Bitterbridge, with the former helping you dress, undress, and bathe and the latter tucking you in at night and lulling you to sleep.
After a few days of waiting, Lord Stannis Baratheon arrives on the scene. At a glance, you can tell that the older Baratheon's forces are much smaller than the younger's. Renly's vanguard and cavalry alone greatly outnumber the entirety of Stannis's units. The Lord of Dragonstone does not stand a chance if it actually comes to battle.
Nevertheless, as soon as he arrives, Stannis calls for a parley, which Renly agrees to. Lady Catelyn agrees to come along so that she can speak for King Robb. Interestingly, Renly invites you to attend the parley, too, even though you have no official status.
