A Dark Haired Shy Girl

Mandy slowly walked up to the room. At first she didn't even notice anyone inside.

"Hello?" she called out.

Suddenly there was some movement. How had Mandy missed it? There was a girl in black sweater with long dark hair sitting on the right side bed. She had a laptop in her lap. With the lights off, and the girl's naturally shadowy demeanor she hadn't even noticed.

"Yes?" The girl croaked.

She put her laptop to the side and stood up. Big wire frame glasses and dark eyes. She was pretty, in a pale sort of way, but it wasn't accentuated because she didn't wear makeup. Even her generous curves, including an obviously bigger bossom them Mandy's, was hidden by her loose fitting clothing.

Mandy approached her cautiously and put on a shy smile.

"My name is Amanda. Or Mandy to my friends. I think I'm your new roomate? It's nice to meet you."

Her new roomate seemed shy, but wasn't actively rude. She took Mandy's hand and shook it.

"I'm Angelica. Never Angie. Occasionally Angel though. I guess we're spending the year together."

Mandy sat down on the other bed. Angelica had already totally moved in. She didn't have much, just like Mandy. The two talked, though Angelica clearly wasn't a very talkative person. She was actually a second year student, and was in a computer science program.

Mandy put on a nice face, and tried not to push Angelica too hard in the conversation. She quite liked Angelica, actually. She was clearly quite introverted, but Mandy had always been attracted to the entire more gothic or punkish aesthetic. She never could have indulged it back when she was at home, if only because her parents would have killed her. But, hey college was about new experiences, Right?
