You go back to Todd's place

You decide to walk back to Todd's place, and stay the night. After reassuring with your parents, you and Todd arrive back at his house. Todd lives with his older brother, James, who's 19, and his father, Wayne, who's in his late 30's. Wayne and Todd's mother had children quite young, but she walked out as she couldn't handle the pressure of parenthood. You got along well with his family, having known them for most of your life. Wayne and your father worked together, and got along quite well.

"Hey dad!" Todd called, walking into his house, "John's staying the night!"

"Alright, hi John!" Wayne called.

"Hey Wayne!" You reply.

You and Todd head up to his room, which he shares with his brother James. James was already in there, doing homework on his laptop. You didn't mind James, but he was a bit boring, with no humour or real essence. Unsurprisingly, he'd come out as asexual when he was 17.

"Hey guys," he says, looking up from his computer, "Are you staying the night?"

"Yup!" You replied, a little too enthusiastically just to annoy him.

He sighed.

"Alright, just don't keep me up all night."

You and Todd ignored him, and settled on Todd's bed. You both talked about school, sport and video games. Finally, Todd stood.

"I'll go get us some food!" He announces, making his way to the kitchen.
