Dracula meets Two Face
Satisfied with the new situation, Dracula was led into the VIP area. A glance into the suite revealed to him what the abbreviation VIP meant. A really very good taste his new host had. He was sure that his brides would feel very comfortable here. The young lady who had brought him here probably enjoyed his presence as well, but she was too disciplined to give in to things that had just crossed her mind. She waited a moment to see if he had any wishes and then left at his beck.
Dracula looked out the window at the dancing people below his new dwelling. This hulk, which he had knocked unconscious a few minutes ago, was now back to his senses and seemed to be leaving the shop. Somehow he suddenly had the feeling that he hadn't seen this Bane the last time. However, so far it was not clear to him that Bane was more than just brute force. But now he had a lot to do. This penguin was an interesting possibility for his new hiding place, however, there was still the second possibility. He wondered why they called this man Two Fache. However, he had to admit that the choice of name for the penguin was well made. He was not a particularly handsome man but he had recognized the principle of power, which only a few were able to do. This city was a place of sin and sorrow. He had seen few such places before but he knew how to deal with them. He grabbed his coat and pulled it over him before he left the restaurant. He'd take advantage of the day to find out a little more about Bruce Wayne. He had not yet understood the modern world, but fortunately there were some things that would never change.
In every time he had experienced people had appreciated the written word and created places of knowledge in a special way. I'm sure there was something here in this town, too. He just had to ask around a little and got an answer relatively quickly. There was something called the City Library, a treasure trove of knowledge. Surely he would find some of what he was looking for there. When he was still a young mortal man he had envied the people who could read and write. Thanks to his power, however, he had quickly mastered this gift himself and even learned to appreciate the value of Scripture. But it wasn't just the knowledge he wanted so much, it was the feeling he had in a good library. Peace and quiet. It was like a very special kind of magic. And the library of Gotham was an imposing one.
On several floors he saw hundreds of rows of books neatly lined up according to a certain pattern. Here and there, various citizens from all walks of life eagerly brooding over the books they had borrowed. They looked up on the newcomers, but they largely ignored him. As he walked through the corridors, a whole section fell over vampires and over Dracula herself. However, some titles forced him to smile. Dracula versus King Kong. He had never fought a monkey who called himself a king. But apparently he still fascinated people. Strangely enough, however, there were hardly any books about vampires that went beyond the last two centuries. Apparently he and his few children had been very good at hiding the traces over all the millennia. That the fight between Helsing and him in London had caused a stir, however, had been unavoidable.
However, he did not have the Muse to take care of his own books now. After a few questions he found the department where the city's history was to be found. He quickly found what he was looking for and put the books on a cart and found an empty space to look at them. As he worked his way through the Waynes family history, he fell for being watched.
Curious, he looked around and found a young blonde woman watching him curiously from a floor above him. She was quite beautiful and had a piercing look. She had something that fascinated him for a moment, but even before he could indulge in this fascination, some men with machine guns and assault rifles stormed the building. They were shooting wildly and screaming wildly at the people. Only two people in the building did not seem surprised by this attack. Dracula and the blonde.
She just pulled a camera and went behind the parapet to take some pictures. Dracula, on the other hand, sighed with boredom and continued leafing through his book. He fervently hoped that these people were so intelligent as to leave him alone. But of course that was not the case. He wasn't worried, but he was worried about other things. These people were no danger to him, but he did not intend to show too much of his power here either. And people proved once again how stupid they were when one of them stood right in front of his table waving a gun in his face.
"Hey! Dude! Can't you hear me? I said RISE!" he warned him and held the gun under his nose.
Dracula looked up a little bored and raised a brow. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the blonde taking some pictures of them. Or at least tried to. He sighed and closed the book.
"Young man. You're bothering me. I'm trying to read a book here." He said calmly and looked up politely. But the man just kept yelling at him threateningly and loading the gun around.
"As you say, young man." Dracula sighed and got up and saw the glorious look in the man's eyes... just before he grabbed the gun and hit the man with enough swing on the head that his skull was chasing through the table. The table gave way under the force of his skull and splintered in all directions. The sound echoed through the library's wide corridors and his two colleagues looked at him in amazement.
Dracula just shrugged her shoulders and then raised her hands above her head.
"I think your partner slipped, gentlemen." He grinned and then kicked against a chair. It flew in a high arc against one of the two attackers who was tumbling back. This short time was enough to give Dracula the chance to attack the second one.
He jumped forward and grabbed the surprised man by the throat and threw him against one of the walls where he collapsed unconscious. As he watched the poor man slide down the shelf unconscious, he heard someone struggling to stand up next to him. As he looked over his shoulder, he saw the criminal stand up and dazedly squeeze the chair away.
With an elegant twist he whirled around and entered. He catches the man's chin with his instep and let him do a somersault. After this step also this man did not stand up any more and the crowd looked enthusiastically and fascinated to the man who had just without problems overpowered three armed gangsters. Dracula himself took another quick look around and when he saw that no one was a threat anymore, he went back to his seat and opened the book again. When one of the guards wanted to congratulate him, he just raised his finger to his lips and pointed to the man to be quiet. Then he concentrated again on the book about the Waynes when suddenly a shadow fell over the book. A little angry he raised his head and his stern look became a little friendlier when he saw the blonde looking at him. He just felt like he was being examined. The woman's eyes wandered over his body and face. Apparently, she just analyzed it to seem a little disappointed.
Dracula sat back and waited to see if the woman would have some questions but she didn't. She played briefly with her camera to show him a picture she must have taken from above. You could see one of the people flying through the air just before he crashed into the shelf. However, none of the photos showed Dracula. But if she had hoped to see a reaction on his face, she was disappointed. He didn't react and just looked up at the woman and first raised a brow when she put a business card in his hand and then just walked away. The map said

Below it was an address and a time.
Since the appointment was only the next day he could finish his work here and still today only to be disturbed after half an hour again when some shots crashed. Looking up, he saw a man in a strange suit. On one side it was snow-white and on the other side pitch-black. The face was disfigured in an extremely cruel way. Exactly half of the face was apparently burned or burned. The mouth was open and the eye was also affected. He was immediately struck by the name Two Face. A perfectly fitting name as he found it. This man had the few visitors still present shot and then Dracula could already feel him sweeping some bullets off his chair.
As he lay on the floor, Dracula thought what a rude way that was. Just shooting wildly. Rolling his eyes, he straightened himself up again and tweaked his suit. The henchmen of Two Face looked frightened at the man who had just got up, despite a few goals, and put his hand up again when Two Face raised his hand.
"Drop your weapons! He had his chance to die! Let's see if he gets another chance."
To Dracula's astonishment, he threw up a coin and then looked at it.
"Life! Lucky for you!"
