He makes a break for it

Sam needed to get out of there. He didn't waste any time: He removed the IV and put a shoulder into the door on his way out. He didn't realize it, but the aggressive move took his first obstacle by surprise. As the door swung open, it slammed into someone — a woman by the sound of her surprised squeal.

Sam didn't stop to see if she was hurt. He didn't have time. If he wanted the doctors to fix him, he needed to get out of the maze as quickly as possible. He ran down a long, thin corridor. Unsurprisingly it looked just like a hospital. White walls lined with generic paintings led to a set of large double doors. He ran directly into the doors, sending them flying open as well.

Once he made it through the doors, Sam found himself the end of the line. The hallway ended, connecting to an intersecting hallway. He had two choices, right or left, and no idea which way to go.
