"...I told Sam about our little 'affair'"

Sam froze, confused by Anna's words. Anna certainly hadn't told him about any such thing...

Through the phone, Tina seemed to freeze as well, taking a few moments before responding a little guiltily. "...A-and?"

"And you were worried over nothing. Let alone getting mad, he just wanted to know if he could watch us."

As Sam's mind whirled, Anna covered the phone's mouthpiece and spoke in a low voice. "Play along and I can call off Freddy for now. Say you don't mind, and say you want to watch us."

She presented the phone to Sam with that, giving him a chance to talk to Tina; either to go along with Anna's instructions blindly, or to risk defying her to ask something.
