Jo, your ex's frenemy

Josephene, or “Jo” as she went by, was your ex Maddie’s frenemy. From what you knew from Maddie, her and Jo had once been childhood best friends, but as they got older, their relationship evolved into something more adversarial, competing constantly over everything, from grades, to popularity, to boys. By the time they got to college, they only associated with each other to one-up each other. According to your ex, “Jo the ho” (as Maddie called her) was a real whore who once let the whole college football team run a train on her. Now, you had no idea whether that was true or not. You had been on the receiving end of enough of Maddie’s judgmental bitchiness to know that she wasn’t a reliable source all the time.

Tonight though, Jo was looking good. She was wearing a white tank top that strained against her DD-bust, jean cutoff shorts, sandals, and her curly red hair was up in a ponytail. She looked like the All-American fantasy of the Girl Next Door.

“Heeeyyy!!” Jo shouted at you as she all but bounded across the room at you. “I haven’t seen you in forever! Heard about you and Maddie breaking up. Sorry.” That last part came out less than sincere.

“Thanks, but its ok. Shit happens, we didn’t work out.” You say with a shrug.

“She must be a moron as well as a bitch to let a stud like you out of her clutches!” Jo says with a wink. “But enough about her. Play me in Beer Pong! Your brothers here haven’t put up any challenge!”
