Pretend to be the cheerleader

It may sound crazy, but you can’t shake the feeling that this is all a big conspiracy. If it is, and Zack is somehow involved, you could be walking right into a big trap. On the other hand, no one could possibly know your mind is in the body of this cheerleader. Seeing how Zack acts without knowing who you really are will go a long way toward settling the issue of whether he’s involved in all of this.

You make up your mind and knock on the door, hoping Zack is at home. A few moments later, you are rewarded by the door swinging open, revealing the sight of your roommate.

Whatever Zack might have been expecting, it clearly wasn’t Jean the cheerleader. His eyes grow wide with surprise, immediately before they drop down and check out your body. Finally Zack manages to look you in the face and asks, “Can I help you?”

Justin has told me so much about you. I’m Jean.” You extend your hand for a handshake. Zack takes it, but does not let go. He you all over once again, as if he’s standing in front of a candy display, trying to decide what he likes the most.

“A pleasure to meet you, Jean. You are looking for Justin? He’s not here right now, but you are welcome to wait. He should be back any minute.”

You manage to pull your hand free from Zack’s and step into the room. You look around the room and seem to see it for the first time. You realize you and Zack really are slobs. Dirty clothes litter the floor, along with candy wrappers, crumpled drafts of term papers, and a half-eaten bag of microwave popcorn. On Zack’s bed is the latest issue of his favorite magazine, Scandalous! It is opened to a photo spread, documenting spring break on a nudist island in the Caribbean.

“Just make yourself comfortable,” he says.

Out of habit, you choose your own bed and sit on the edge. Zack immediately sits right next to you.

“So.... you are a friend of Justin’s?”

“Uh... Yes. We are lab partners. I was supposed to meet him for a project.”

Zack has given up trying to look you in the eyes. His gaze seems to be focused a bit lower, and when you follow his eyes, you realize that your nipples are still protruding noticeably behind your top.

You squirm uncomfortably, but also feel a bit of a rush, realizing that you are turning on your roommate. Zack is immediately at your side. “Nope. I can try texting him, if you want. But I’m sure he will be along soon. So.... what did he tell you about me? You said you felt like you knew me.”
