Once by themselves, Lady Jaye and Scarlet began to figure out the best use of their time. Scarlet began, "This smells. First we 'track' the Baroness to Vermont only to find her in fetish store in Europe, then we have another fetish store in Boston where the call is routed through Vermont. This is too much to just be random chance."
Lady Jaye playing devil's advocate, "But it could be. The Baroness could be shopping online or something, or have some of Cobra's goons doing her errands for her. While the Joes have special exceptions with policing state side when it comes with Cobra, if we don't have direct orders or hints of Cobra our hands are tied."
Scarlet remember the special abilities the Joes had been given by the President, given the nature of Cobra. When you enemy could use anything from super-science to magic, excepts to the rules are created. That got her thinking, 'Exceptions to the rules.'
"I think I have a plan, Ally. You and Flint still have all of those leave days that are going to have to ue or lose?"
"Yeah, most of the Joes do. Why?"
"My plan is for me and my DEA friend to check out Boston. Meanwhile, you and Flint can take some time off... to a bed and breakfast in Vermont. A certain town in Vermont, to be exact." continued the red head as she revealed her plan.
"So Flint and I can 'explore the country side' of the town, in an unofficial off duty capacity. At worst, me and Flint have a lovely leave. I'm guessing you might meet up with us later?" said Lady Jaye, figuring out the scheme. It would allow them to investigate by bending the rules slightly. She then continues, "So when do you want to start?"
