Karen is taking a Trip to Gotham after Killing the Bride. Let us see how Dracula reacts

Chapter 33 by Colleem Colleem

Bruce had to admit that he had been more than impressed. Without Karen's help, he would have died here today. He went through the whole fight and yet he couldn't think of a way to get himself out of it. Dr. Mendez had not only been physically superior. She had also had some incredible tricks in store. This transformation into this shadow animal had been extremely impressive. Without the abilities of a Kryptonian heroine, he was doomed. However, he had now gained many new insights.

It was Karen's first visit to the legendary Bat Cave. She had received spare clothes from Bruce and was in a good mood. It flew directly to the ceiling mount of the Bat Jet. She had often seen this marvel of technology, but never so close. While Bruce was tampering with the computer, Karen flew through the whole cave to take a close look. She looked at the trophies he had collected and wondered what exactly he wanted them to remember. She was floating in front of a huge coin, scratching her head.

Eventually she lost interest and floated back to Bruce. Light as a feather, she landed next to him and looked at the screen.

"So... the word you're looking for is... thank you!" she grinned and crossed her arms.

"What?" Bruce asked without looking up from the screen. "Ah yes. Nice work up there."

"Really?" she asked and put one hand on his shoulder. It only took seconds until he groaned in pain and freed himself from her grip.

"Hey! I'm not a steel girder, yes!" he growled and rubbed his shoulder. "What was that all about?"

"This may work on Kal-El or Diana, but you'll say THANK YOU to me? After all, that lunatic would have torn you apart. So how was that?"

Bruce smiled at her and crossed his arms.

"You do realize I can kick your ass just as easily as that chick? And that I'm not Clark? "Huh?" buzzed the blonde sex bomb.

"And you realize I've hidden kryptonite in nine different places here in this cave?" Bruce asked completely unaffected.

"Wow! I can see why no one likes you!" Karen mumbled and crossed her arms. "Was that all, or is there more of the crazy one?"

"That's what I'm trying to find out. At least as long as I'm not interrupted. I have to try to reconstruct her last days. It's called detective work."

"Yeah, it's more your thing. I'll look around while I'm here. Maybe I'll arrest a few dozen of your archenemies," Karen laughed and flew to the cave exit. She no longer heard Bruce's warning words or probably deliberately ignored them. However, she was a Kryptonian and few of the usual criminals in Gotham would be able to hold her for more than 2 minutes. But Bruce was worried about something. A little detail he noticed during the fight. An important detail that just drove him crazy, because he couldn't remember what it was.

Karen enjoyed flying through the darkness of Gotham, but found nothing to attract her attention. As she flew home towards the docks she could see an abandoned factory. That was not so surprising in this part of Gotham, but the sinfully expensive luxury limousine in the courtyard was clearly out of place. Rather out of boredom, she used her abilities to look inside the facility. Thanks to her X-ray vision she could see some heavily armed people inside and the Riddler. At least something. Then their journey would not have been completely in vain.

But when she broke through the ceiling there stood not the Riddler but a man about 30 years old in simple trousers. The upper body was free and covered with magical runes of blood. The man seemed pretty angry and looked at her angrily.

"Hey! Where'd that rabbit-footed Riddler go? Speak smaller," Karen laughed and beat his hands together. "After that crazy gothictante today, I think a little green can't hurt."

"Gothic aunt?" Dracula asked with her brows compressed.

Karen now took a closer look at this man and her hearing heard no heartbeat from him.

"You're just like them! Your heart doesn't beat either," she realized and clenched her fists. "I hope you can do better than she can." She grinned at him broadly without knowing what she would trigger with these thoughtless words.

"You... killed my... wife..." Dracula growls as he felt the bestial rage rise inside him. He had noticed the loss of his wife an hour ago and had immediately asked his second wife Zatanna to use her blood magic to speed up his healing. It had taken a real bloodbath she had caused but in the end she had killed over 300 people in a small music park in a short time with her witchcraft, giving him an amazing healing boost.

Karen thought this man's behavior was almost amusing. It almost seemed like he had no idea who he was facing here. But her pride became her doom within a second. Her superhuman Kryptonian senses were fully aware of the movement, but she was surprised at the speed of the man in front of her.

The second mistake she made was relying too much on her resistance and impenetrable skin. When Dracula's fist hit her stomach, she felt the power of a small atomic bomb exploding in her guts. With a force she otherwise only knew from Darkside or Superman, this guy hit her and catapulted her through a dozen walls before she was finally braked in a house wall. Shaking her head, Karen tried to understand what had just happened when she saw Dracula floating in front of her. With both fists over his head, he opened his eyes and pounded them with a tremendous blow. Screaming with pain, Karen was hammered into the street. The people of Gotham were used to a lot but the fact that a Kryptonian superhero was so easily knocked to the ground was scary all over the world.

Karen slowly pawed herself out of the crater on which her impact had torn and looked up. Her enemy was already launching a new attack, but Karen had come to realize that this man was more dangerous than the woman before. But her pride had also been scratched.

Dracula rushed forward to his enemy with his fist, and with a deafening thunder he struck. However, he growled angrily when he saw that blonde bitch intercepting his fist with one hand. The vampire's force brought her to her knees, but she could hold her ground and began to grin.

"It's my asshole!" with her free left hand hit her. If this guy was as tough as he was strong, she'd need a lot of strength. In order not to risk a long, tough fight, she immediately put all her strength into the blow. While her fist went through his block like butter and hit him on the jaw, she briefly felt resistance. But with an angry scream she increased the force of the blow even more and Dracula was now hurled through several buildings. Karen slowly glided into the air looking at the building where he had stopped. There were no people in it, so she tensed her body. Her eyes began to glow red as her heat gazed cleanly through the struts of the house. She planned to bury this guy under hundreds of tons of rock and apparently succeeded. The building collapsed clean right above him. Satisfied, she stopped in the air. She'd rather stay a few more seconds. He might have gotten through it. She could already hear her cousin preach a sermon to her because she had been far too brutal.

But it didn't take long before she got a queasy feeling. A strange tingling in the neck. As she looked up, she could see the moon turning blood red and a strange yellow eye opening in the moon.

"Now we can start. She heard the voice of her opponent shortly before the strange eye turned into a swarm of bats flying towards her. But he was on the wrong side.

Taking a deep breath Karen blew a hurricane-like wind into the swarm but to her astonishment the bats did not react at all. Within seconds she was completely shrouded in darkness and felt uncomfortable on this planet for the first time. Everywhere in the darkness eyes opened in different sizes but always the same eye she had seen in the moon.

"And now show me your power woman! Show me that you are worth experiencing all my power."

Karen had to admit that she had massively underestimated this guy. However, this was also true the other way around. Her arms close to her body, she began to rotate around her own axis, cutting her heat vision through the darkness in random patterns.

It wasn't long before she had freed herself from the darkness with this tactic and she saw Dracula lying on the floor in front of her. With her heat vision, she had cut him into over a dozen. But just as she wanted to blame herself for it, she saw the part of her head that carried one of his eyes, turned towards her and the eye opened. The piece of the head was hardly bigger than the eye itself which she now looked directly at.

"That's disgusting! Can't you just admit that you can't win against me!"

As the blood around Dracula flowed together and slowly returned to a human form, he began to laugh with his arms outstretched. The laughter echoed down from the roofs and when he had regained all his form he looked down at them.

"Foolish woman! No power in the world can defeat me!"

"You should have seen Lord of the Rings, you lunatic!" Karen laughed and crashed into her opponent at supersonic speed. When they crashed into a wall, they grinned at him. "I'm not from this planet, you lunatic!"

Dracula had experienced a lot in his long life but the idea that there was life on other planets was still too new to understand. But he could feel that this woman wasn't lying. Her strength, resilience and fiery heat glances were something that could hurt him. While the two superhuman beings measured their powers, the mortal world suffered terrible damage. When beings of such strength and power let off steam in the middle of a city, it was almost impossible to avoid collateral damage. And so it came that the two finally found themselves in the middle of some smoking ruins and burning houses. Both breathed heavily as they circled angrily.

At the same time Bruce finally remembered what he had overlooked in the fight of Karen! Just before Dr. Mendez died, she tried to bite her. A completely ridiculous attempt. That's why it didn't occur right away. But just at that moment he remembered... He had seen blood. That just meant Dr. Mendez was able to hurt a Kryptonian. Magic was their only weakness after kryptonite.

Karen had to admit that she would rather have fought Darkside than this thing! One could hardly call this being a human being. She had burned him, frozen him and tore him to pieces. She had tried to overwhelm him in every way she knew. And yet it had no effect. He had sat down over and over again or had become a strange hybrid being that half blood was half human. Slowly she ran out of ideas. And she also had to admit that he could hand out as well as he could take it. She hadn't had such pain in a long time and the worst thing was that she actually bled. He had managed to overcome Kryptonian physiology with his bare hands.

Had she not been so proud, Karen would have realized she couldn't win this fight, but she was always overshadowed by Clark and this was her chance to prove that she was as powerful as he was. Besides, she was angry by now. And this is exactly where the two opponents differed.

While Karen was relatively young despite her power and struggles, Dracula had the experience of thousands of years on his side. The Wer twelve wars had taught him early on that there was a point in every fight where strength and power were not decisive but the ability to remain calm. Dracula had done everything in his power except open the final seal of his power. And for this step the fight was not hopeless enough. If he were to open the final seal of his power, all his power would be unleashed. A power that was almost limitless. He had placed seals of curse on himself very early on in order not to lose the charm of the fight. It was no fun fighting a fight and being superior to your opponent in the sky. Except in the battle with the werewolf king thousands of years ago, he had never again found an enemy worthy enough to open the final seal.

This woman was certainly a powerful opponent but her wounds did not heal as quickly as those of a werewolf. It wasn't easy to hurt her body, he had to admit it, but it was possible. And he hadn't tried all the tricks he still had up his sleeve.

He breathed deeply and concentrated on dodging their attacks to calm down. What's more, it made her even angrier. But it was more than just a simple evasion. He concentrated and then spread his arms and closed his eyes. Karen immediately took advantage of this opportunity and struck. But instead of hitting a solid body, Dracula immediately exploded in a cloud of blood mist. Karen reacted with an angry cry and bounced off the earth and shot into the sky. She hadn't inhaled that mist and was sure it was poison. Floating far above the fog, she waited for Dracula to manifest again. But the longer the fog waved through the streets, the deeper it sank without noticing. She may not have breathed mist, but her skin had come into contact with the blood of Dracula that he had spread in the mist.

He had also used the same spell to overcome Zatanna and he was curious how this woman would react to this spell.

Without Karen noticing it, she landed back on earth and stood in the middle of the fog.
