A Different Pair of X-Men

The unknown was always a cause for concern, the woman known as Ororo Munro (AKA Storm) mused to herself as she and her companion deplaned from the Blackbird as it flew high in the air, framed by the full moon in the sky above them. They descended through the star-filled sky to the ground via a controlled updraft made possible through her ability to control the winds and weather.

They were in Florida, along the coast near Daytona, following an odd signal from Cerebro that seemed as if it was indicating the awakening of a new type of Mutant but had vanished as quickly as it had appeared.

Storm was clad in a form fitting silver body suit that showed off every last one of her curves, with a matching silver cape fluttering behind her, held in place by two X-shaped clasps on her shoulders. She brushed a lock of her long white hair back with her free hand as her full, dark lips pursed in thought and she looked at her companion, who she held in place with her other arm. Even though she knew the other woman had been on more than her fair share of missions already, Ororo always found it hard not to think of Jubilation "Jubilee" Lee as the child of the group she had to watch after.

Jubilee was almost Storm's exact opposite in appearance, dressed in a very loud combination of a tight red t-shirt the accentuated her modest bust, cut-off blue jean shorts that showed off her shapely legs, a yellow overcoat, elbow-length blue gloves with matching boots, and bright pink wrap-around shades over her eyes. Her skin was pale white, where as Storm's was a rich black, her black hair was short and wild while Storm's was white, long and well maintained, and she radiated a youthful energy while Ororo had the air of a mature, cultured woman.

"I never get tired of doing this," Jubilee exclaimed as they landed in front of an abandoned sea-side hotel that was where the signal had been triangulated, "you really know how to make a girl feel lighter than air."

Storm smiled softly at the joke. "You are welcome," she replied before her expression grew more serious as she observed the boarded up hotel in front of them, "but I fear I must figuratively bring this situation down to Earth as well as literally. We do not know what kind of mutant, if any, may be waiting for us. And if it is one that has felt the need to hide in a place such as this, it could be one in **** need of aide..."

"Or trouble waiting to strike," Jubilee finished with a nod.

After looking at the twenty-story building for a few moments in silence, Jubilee looked over at Storm and asked, "So... how do you wanna play this? You go high, I go low or do you think we should stick together?"
