It’s Raven

A quick check through the door confirms that Raven has indeed returned. You are unable to make out the object beneath her arm, but it doesn’t seem relevant to the matter at hand. You are hardly decent for any sort of company, but you decide to make due with your helmet and boxer shorts. Perhaps it’s lacking in tact, but considering how long it took Raven to come by, you’d rather not risk offending her by making her wait any longer than necessary.

Plus, the embarrassed look on her face is downright adorable.

As tempted as you are to tease her more, you elect to finish dressing up before sitting down on the bed next to Raven. A better look at the object she brought reveals it to be a hand mirror. You personally never took her for the type, but it’s of little consequence.

“Sorry it took so long. Beast Boy wasn’t exactly willing to leave me be after I made his tofu bacon & eggs blow up in his face,” she explains.

“Wait, the green dude eats tofu? What, is he vegan or something?”

“He’s been a LOT of the animals in most of our meat-related diet. He’s always trying to get us to switch to tofu. It’s not going to catch on anytime soon.”

Huh. Interesting.

“So, what’s with the mirror?”

“The mirror is just an object. But it’s tied to the owner's mind: my mind. It’s a tool for meditation, but it’s possible for others to gain access to my mind with it,” she explains.

“Sounds dangerous. How easy is it to…get out?”

“Normally, it’s not all that dangerous. And usually it’s very easy to. But after our talk last night, I moved the mirror to a safer place. Good thing too. Beast Boy and Cyborg broke down the door to my room. Naturally, they decided that was a good enough reason to enter my room and look through my stuff. Odds are they’d probably be stuck in my head right about now.”

“How did you react to that?”

In Raven’s mind, a brief image of a pile of green goo and broken mechanical parts lumped together flashes through her head before her focus returns.

“They won’t be touching anything in my room again for a long, LONG time.”

Her answer scares you enough that you decide to avoid asking for further specifics.

“So, I’m guessing you brought the mirror here for a reason?

“Yes…”
