Easy and fun

We ate and drank a lot and we chatted about normal stuff, having a great evening.

Despite being good fun, there was nothing much of note that actually happened as we sat together.

Once we started to get sleepy I got up and started clearing the table as I told the girls to sit and relax. I went back inside and left them on the balcony. I purposefully left them longer than I really needed to as I tidied the dishes away and cleaned the kitchen.

It was already late and I turned around to see Maria and Emily walking back in and announcing that it was bed time. Maria winked at me as she walked passed and wished me a good night.

We closed down the house and settled ourselves down to bed. Emily joined me in bed and we snuggled up.
