Chapter 5 by Geo Geo

What channel does he switch to, and how does he affect it?

The Learning Channel (or rather, godly scrying on the school)

Grant rubbed his hands together from his seat, remote awaiting use on the arm of the chair. Grant got the fantastic idea of deciding on what's the point in going to school, when you can just watch it all from afar? Sure he could try to affect actual channels, but nothing says godhood than sitting back and affecting people while they can't notice you, not to mention the lack of evidence of not actually being there, of course. But first thing's first: Get a real screen, instead of the recycled junk he had now. He took the remote in hand, and brought it to eye level, pointing at the 'TV' with excitement as he turned the knob. All of a sudden, the scale of the screen widened, and started expanding, the stand it was on vanishing completely as the screen started overlaying the entire wall. It was so big to a point it may as well be a wall, and with a flick of the switch, he twisted it some more, the screen becoming impossibly high in definition, so it may as well be an invisible glass pane to whatever channel it's on. "Useful for immersion." Grant said to himself proudly.

Now for the real fun, with a push of a button, the screen lit up, or more had the appearance of opening the blinds, as it opens on to the school corridor, as everyone was getting ready to next class. Because of the scale of the screen, it really did look like a window into the halls, as it matched one-to-one with the rest of the room, everything at appropriate heights as if they were there. Grant bounced in his seat anxiously, spoiled for choice on what victim in his camera view he wants to try first. So many that he despised, so many that he had swooned over, and others he just wants to give a little prank.

Looking around with a few swipes over the screen portion to direct the camera, he spotted Tiffany McCormick. A real typical spoiled rich type cheerleader; Blonde, snooty, doesn't believe anyone of the lower class exists until they bother her or she needs something from them, dates an over-muscled jock named (of course) Brad, and of course, a real nice bod that's too good to be attached such a bad person. Grant liked Tiffany, but only at face value, he could do without the personality, the bullying tendencies, the manipulation, the way that she would bribe him with false pretences of some bedtime fun to run a hit-prank on a specific girl in the squad that talked back to her...That last part only worked once, Grant wasn't dumb after that one. Though cash worked on occasion when he was in a good mood...

Grant feels like maybe she didn't pay enough to 'grant' amnesty from his now godly wrath, however, and it's time to pay up. Tiffany was currently wearing a sensible ensemble to be her usual show-offish self, a belly exposing tee with a neckline to give a hint of her emphasised double D bust in some pricey undergarments outlining the shirt, a lace-up miniskirt around the length of below mid-thigh, a pair of no doubt expensive sporty kneesocks, and a modest heeled pair of shoes.

Grant moved the camera to her as she was conversing with one of her toady 'friends' of hers. Ironically, it was about the situation with not seeing Grant in a while. "Sooo..." Charlotte said, idly twirling a lock of her raven hair while leaning against her locker, "I know we don't like the guy and all, but I never did hear what happened with that annoying guy, Grant or something..." Tiffany peeked her head out of her locker to scowl at her, then dived back in, apparently fixing her pricey makeup in the mirror she had in there. "Ugh, don't remind me about that sadsack. Guy's got dirt on a lot of people, even me-I mean our clique, and it's best if he was kicked out before we graduated, just in case." Charlotte looked at the side of Tiffany confused, "Wait, so was it one of our schemes, or someone else? I probably wasn't here when we set something up."

Grant raised an eyebrow, interested in knowing where this is going, "Chare," Tiffany started, "If it was us, I would've bragged about it by now. Do you realise how impressed people would be that I took down the unstoppable pranklord~" Tiffany ended in a snide sarcastic tone. "Besides, I heard that it was just him slipping up on a prank. Let's just change the topic please, I'm feeling stress-ridges on my forehead just thinking about that thing." Charlotte shrugged and the conversation continued on with something a little more inane, while Grant laced his fingers together and wondered...So it wasn't any of the squad, he pondered, Perhaps my theory goes a little deeper if nobody took the credit for my defeat. Grant settled on tabling the subject and get back to the plan.

Now, what to do with the Bitch of the Cheer Squad?...

  • Grant expands his TV to wall-sized, with insane quality detail. Also grants it the power to switch over to things he wishes to see with a press of any form of controller, even live reality.

Decisions, Decisions...
