Maria looked at me and said that there was more to the story but, as she was about to continue, we heard the keys turning in the door and my girlfriend walked into the flat.

We sat together and discussed our respective days, with me and Maria omitting the finer details of our activities.

As we sat together we were trying to decide what we were going to do for the evening. Maria only had two more evenings left so we weren't sure if we should do something tonight or tomorrow night.
