The video gamer, his best friend, and the tag along.

When Annika opens the door, she is greeted by the sight of three of her friends. She can feel a broad smile blossom on her face as she looks at then, "What are you guys doing here already?"

Dwayne, answers for them like she knew he would. He was always the more assertive member of their group, "Jacob said he was going to drive out and pick up Tim. Then they're going to stop to buy pizza for everyone on the way back," He says.

Dwayne claimed to be part Native American, but none of the group could see it in him. He was just too pale and had dark brown hair. Dwayne was a video gamer, there didn't seem to be a secret, technique, or difficulty level that could even slow him down. If there was a game out there, he had either already beat it, or he just hadn't gotten around to playing it yet. He was also the womanizer of the group and the only boy Annika spent time around who had expressed a serious interest in her.

Not a chance, he goes through girlfriends one after another. I don't want to be just another notch on his bedpost. She thinks to herself, though deep down she can't deny that she had a little crush on him.

Stepping through the door, he hefts his bag in one hand and gives Annika a one armed hug on his way past, "I brought my PS4 with a few games. Thought we could play for a while, I figure we've got a few hours before Jacob and Tim show up." Letting go of her, he grins down at her with a smile that makes most of the girls he meets weak in the knees, "I'll go set it up."

And with that, he was past her and moving toward the living room.

Sam came next. Same was an enigma, for all the junk food and sugary drinks he ate, the man should be massive, but somehow he was blessed with a metabolism that left him rail thin. He wore his blonde hair shoulder length and had a perpetually startled look on his face any time he wasn't smiling about something. Sam was a well rounded gamer, kind of like Annika, he'd happily play anything.

When Sam steps into the room, he smiles at Annika, then gives her an awkward hug, like he was aware she wasn't wearing a bra and having one less layer separating them put him off just a little bit. But then, he was always like that. Annika always thought it was a little cute the way he got tongue tied around her, "Hi," He says when he lets go of the hug, "Uh, hi, yeah, I said that," Looking awkward, he quickly follows Dwayne into the house.

At least he isn't so awkward when he's playing games, Annika muses.

The final man was Will. Will was that one guys that never seemed to fit in with any group. He was a black man, dark like ebony. He was also one of the smartest and nicest men Annika had ever met. No one in the group had ever figured out why he liked to hang out with all of them, he always seemed to be engrossed in his school assignments, he was always happy to help anyone in their group with school work if they needed it, but never really got into the games the same way the others did. It was like he just wanted to be around people and he'd chosen their group at random. Annika didn't mind though, he was a sweatheart as far as she was concerned.

"Thank you for having us over this weekend," Will says to Annika with that deep but soft voice of his.

"Come in!" Annika replies with a smile, throwing her arms around him in a hug as he entered. He stiffens up at her touch, but then returns the hug gently. She can see the faint smile on his lips when he finally steps back.

"What are we playing?" Annika called toward the living room, walking with Will to where Dwayne was busy setting up his PS4 console.

Dwayne looks up at her, "Whatever you want, this weekend is all about you," He grins, "I brought pretty much all of my couch co-op games," He gestures at his bag, "Grab what you want to play."
