The afternoon hit and it was warm, warm, warm, and humid. Autumn was showing no signs of appearing, and it wasn't yet cool enough a world. A couple quick magical spells kept my room air-conditioned as I sat there, thinking back on life and how well it was going and how lucky I was.

Those lovestruck folk who tell their girlfriends "I'm so lucky to have you" didn't know the first thing about luck, I decided. That was nothing. Love and lust could both be created at a thought by me; and I didn't need to worry about anything.

I sipped on a rum 'n coke I'd summoned and enjoyed an hour or two in my room, smoking a joint and letting a soft, happy buzz fill me. I got hungry so I summoned a pizza sub -- that is, a sub which had a supreme pizza baked on it before it was closed. It tasted delicious. I downed it with a Belgian beer and relaxed a while.

Then I moved on to different things.
