A "perfect" solution

The next day you go to your classes, but you can't focus on anything, since you are thinking about what Andy will do.

After the classes are over, you return to your room. Andy is already there, waiting.

"Have you decided?" you ask him.

"Yes, I have thought about it, and you are right. Every time I use the ring, I change more easily, and then it's harder to turn back. I should put it on as little as I can."

Andy is clearly nervous; you have the distinct impression that he knows you are not going to like what he's going to say next.

"I have decided that I'll always be Amy, except for classes."

You are stunned for a second. "What?" you say when you recover. "That's the exact opposite of what you should do!"

"Why? I think it's the perfect solution, this way I'll only put the ring on five times per week."

"That's not the point" you exclaim, frustated. "A thousand different problems could arise. For fuck's sake, Amy doesn't technically exist! What will you say if someone, for example, asks you which classes you are attending?"

"I'll deal with the problems as they present themselves." he retorts angrily. "Now stop telling me what to do."

Andy storms off to the bathroom. After a while, Amy comes out. You say nothing else, but now you are even more concerned than before. The ring is clearly having a phsycological effect on Andy, and maybe soon it will be too late to fix it.
