Take it slow

"How do you do, Jasmine? I'm John," you say with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your lips. You extend your hand in greeting, and she grasps it and shakes.

She grins at you and says, "I'm great, John." Then she winks at you when noone is looking.

The four of you pile into James' car, Jen in the front, and you and Jasmine in the back seat. You head to the movie theater to see the latest action-adventure film. While everyone is chatting about their days, Jasmine scoots closer to you, so her bare thigh is just barely touching your leg. You look over at her and smile, but leave it at that, not wanting to go too fast and spooking her off. You arrive at the multiplex.

You stand in line for tickets and snacks, getting a huge tub of popcorn and sodas. You got here early enough to get good seats in the center of the stadium theater. Jasmine and Jen sit in the middle with you and James on the outside. The trailers start and everyone quiets down. There are a couple movies coming up that look promising, but the rest look like stupid crap. Then, after the 'Shut off your cell phones and get more snacks' clip, the movie starts.

The first scene starts slow, but gets pretty intense as the main character has to run for her life. At a particularly startling part, Jasmine grabs your leg in surprise just above the knee. You take this opportunity to use the 'I'm stretching. Really I am!' ploy to put your arm around her shoulders. She readily accepts your arms presence, flips up the intervening arm rest, and snuggles into you a bit. You spend the next half hour, just enjoying the closeness of her body and a series of leg-grabs during tense moments in the action.

You glance over Jasmine's head and see Jen and James wrapped in each other's arms, kissing. At your movement, Jasmine turns her head toward you to see what you're doing. She sees you looking across at the others, takes her own look, and turns back to you, leaning just a little closer to your face.
